This is Corvette # 194376S125687. It is one of just 9,958 Corvette Coupes built in 1966. The Coupes are the rarer of the two models produced as there were nearly twice as many Convertibles built in 1966 (17,762). This car was built at the St. Louis, MO plant in June 1966. The original base 327/4bbl/300 hp (# 6125687 F0627HE) engine is in the car coupled to its 4 speed transmission.
In 2004, the car was stripped and received a show quality, high end re-paint in its original Milano Maroon (#988) paint color. Milano Maroon was one of ten colors available on 1966 Vettes but is a fairly rare color as only 14% of Corvettes produced this year were this color. The interior of the car was refurbished (to like new condition), window and door rubber replaced, etc. when it was stripped and re-painted (all receipts available).
The car had resided just up the canyon from us in Estes Park, CO with the same owners from August 9, 1978 until this past December. Those prior owners purchased the car in Denver, CO.
This is a matching numbers, no issues car; it runs, drives, and handles like new. Ready to enjoy now.
