Welcome to Vintage Motors of Lyons

Front of the shop in Lyons

We sell, consign, purchase, and locate cars of interest for folks that appreciate them. We  always carry an eclectic selection of classics. Whether you are wanting that perfect  Sunday driver, a project car, or a higher end investment, we probably have a car that you will enjoy!

I have been passionate about cars since I was a kid in the '50's and '60's and bought my first car while in high school, which was a then 10 year old 1958 MGA. Since then I have enjoyed and nurtured many classics, both foreign and domestic. I decided to follow and share my passion for cars by creating a welcoming marketplace to not only sell cars, but open a place for everyone to come in and check out and talk cars, look at car books, magazines, posters, artwork, etc..

Our shop was originally built as a Texaco gas station in the 1940's and is conveniently located at the junction of the two highways leading to the Rocky Mountains just north west of Boulder. You won't miss us at the west end of Main Street.  Lyons is a fun, small town offering nationally known live music festivals and brewpub; shops and great fly fishing, kayaking, tubing, hiking, and mountain biking.  The South St. Vrain Canyon is among many great driving roads in the area.

The best part of this business has been all of the great people we meet. Thanks for visiting our site and I hope to meet you whenever you are in the area.

1956 Ford Thunderbird – Sold

1956 Ford Thunderbird For Sale. “Eye catching” doesn’t adequately describe the looks of this beautiful bird! Finished in a lipstick red beautifully contrasted by a white and red leather trimmed interior.

The car is powered by a 312 ci V8 engine which was the largest V8 offered in the model year and is coupled to a floor shift automatic transmission. There is both a convertible top in white and a “port hole style” factory hard top finished in the body color.  Other features include power steering, power brakes, power seat, AM/FM radio, a rear mounted continental style spare wheel, and new wide whitewall tires mounted on Kelsey Hayes chrome wire wheels. This car was entered in and completed the Colorado Grand in 2003 and wears its removable symbol with registration number from this event. This Thunderbird received a body off restoration just slightly over 3,100 miles ago and is ready to enjoy without issues. JUST SOLD – THANK YOU
